Although the Startup sound of Windows 11 doesnt irritate users, many want to disable it altogether.
You might not want Windows 11s startup sound to play during a meeting or in a calm environment.
In that case, you’re able to turn off the startup sound altogether.
First, go for the Windows Start button and selectSettings.
On the tweaks page, tap on thePersonalizationoption as shown below.
- tap on theThemesoption on the right pane, as shown in the screenshot below.
Now tap on theSoundsoption.
Under the Sounds,uncheckthePlay Windows Startup soundoption and click theApplybutton.
Press theWindows Key + Rbutton on your keyboard.
This will kick off the RUN dialog box, throw in ingpedit.msc, and hit Enter.

On the right pane, double-punch theTurn off Windows Startup Soundoption.
From the pop-up that appears, chooseEnabledand click theOkbutton.
First of all, press theWindows Key + Rbutton on your keyboard.
This will bring up the RUN dialog box.
On the RUN dialog box, enterRegeditand hit the Enter button.
Now, double-choose theDisableStartupSoundoption in the right pane.
You must change the value data to0and click theOkbutton.
However, this method will not work on Windows 11 Home Edition.
Press theWindows Key + Rbutton on your keyboard.
On the RUN dialog box, typeregeditand press Enter.
On the right side, find and double-select theDisableStartupSoundREG-DWORD key.
On the Value data field, type1and press Enter.
This will turn off the Startup Sound.
To activate the Startup sound, type0on the Value data field and clickOK.
Disabling the Startup sound on Windows 11 is pretty straightforward.
