Adding the File Explorers Comments Column
- pop launch the File Explorer of your Windows 11 PC.
Now, go to the directory containing the folder you want to add a comment to.
Right hit the key in column and selectMore.

Check theCommentscheckbox and clickOK.
Open your PCs file explorer and press the see more(three dots)at the top.
On the menu that appears, selectOptions.

On the Folder Options, switch to theViewtab.
Now check theShow hidden files, folders, and drive.
Deselect (uncheck) theHide protected operating system filescheckbox.

Once done, click onApply.
Choose a different folder icon
The next step includes changing the folder icon.
This is a very important step, so change the folder icon as well.

Right-press the folder to which you want to add a comment and selectProperties.
Switch to theCustomizetab on the Folder Properties.
On the Folder icons, select theChange icon.

Next, select a different icon for the folder and clickOK.
Add a new Folder Comment with the Desktop.ini file
- fire up the folder whose icon youve changed.
Right grab the desktop.ini file andopen it with Notepad.

Once done, select theFile > Save

Now shut the Notepad and move to the desktop screen.
This is basically an alternative to restarting.

- punch in inTask Manageron the Windows 11 Search.
When the Task Manager opens, findWindows Explorer.

Next, right-tap on the Windows Explorer and selectRestart.
