Below, we have shared a step-by-step guide on how toadd a shutdown shortcut in Windows 11.

First, right-click anywhere on a blank screen on your desktop and selectNew > Shortcut.

On the Create Shortcut window, enter the following path in theType the location of the item:field.

Once done, name the new shortcut SlideToShutDown.

After calling the shortcut, press theFinishbutton.

Now, you will see all available icons.

You need topick the iconthat resembles the Shutdown.

Right-hit the SlideToShortcut icon and selectShow more options.

On the expanded context menu options, selectPin to taskbar.
