After enabling Automatic User Content Cleanup, you need toconfigure the cleanup schedules for Storage Sense.

First, hit the Windows 11 Start button and selectSettings.

On the configs app, click theSystemtab on the left pane.
Now, on the right, scroll down and click onStorage.
On the Storage screen, scroll down and click onStorage Sense.

This will fire up the automatic user content cleanup on your Windows 11 computer.
Configure Cleanup Schedules in Storage Sense

Now, scroll down and hit theStorage Senseoption.

On the next screen, scroll to the Configure cleanup schedules section.
Selectwhen you want Windows 11 to trigger the Storage Senseon the first drop-down.
On the second drop-down, select when you want Storage Sense todelete files stored in the recycle bin.

Now, select when Storage Sense shoulddelete files in your Downloads folderon the third drop-down.
