Open your favorite web client (Chrome is recommended) and head to Google Calendars web version.

If you are signed in to your Google Account, you will see all saved calendar events.

press theSettingsgear icon in the top-right corner.

Notifications

This will initiate the Google Calendar prefs.

Here you gotta switch to theNotification parameters.

On the right side, scroll down to the Notification controls and modify theNotifications, and snoozed notifications.

Desktop Notification

The changes you will make here will apply only to the web version.
