1) Disable through Windows Search Properties

First of all, pressWindows Key + Rbutton to launch the Run dialog box.
On the RUN dialog box, enterservices.mscand hit the Enter button.

This will fire up the Windows Services page.
On the right, scroll down and find the Windows Search services.
Double punch the Windows Search.

Next, under the Services Status, press theStopbutton.
Now, under the Startup punch in, selectDisabledand press theApplybutton.
After making the changes, just reboot your Windows 11 computer.

Heres what it’s crucial that you do.
First of all, open Windows search and pop in in CMD.
Right-punch the CMD and selectRun as Administrator.

On the Command Prompt, you better enter the command given below and hit the Enter button.
sc stop wsearch && sc config wsearch start=disabled
Once done, cycle your gear.
This will stop and block the Windows 11 search indexing feature.

Here are some of the simple steps to follow.
First of all, open File Explorer on your Windows 11.
Now right punch the hard drive and selectProperties.

At the bottom, uncheck theAllow files on this drive to have contents indexedoption andclickon the Apply button.
On the confirmation popup, choose the second option and hit the Ok button.
This will disable search indexing for a particular drive on Windows 11.

Search indexing in Windows is a great feature.
Unless you face any problem with it, you should leave the option enabled.
To enable search indexing, you should probably revert your changes.
