On the left pane, choose the Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall.
On the Allowed Apps Window, punch theChange settingsbutton as shown below.
Next, check the checkbox for Google Chrome, both public and private.
Once youve done this, clickthe OKbutton.
Heres what you’re gonna wanna do.
First, pick the Windows 11 search and pop in inWindows Security.
Next, bring up the Windows Security app from the list.
On Windows Security, choose theVirus & Threat Protectionoption as shown below.
On the right, click theManage Settingsoption underneath Virus & Threat Protection prefs.
Now scroll down to the Exclusion tab and click theAdd or Remove Exclusionoption.
Now punch theAdd an Exclusionbutton as shown below and select theFolderoption.
I have shared the steps for adding Chrome as an exception on Avast Antivirus.
you better do the same on whatever Antivirus program you are using.
- pop pop the Avast Antivirus and click theMenuicon at the top right.
On the list of options that appears, selectSettings.
On controls, switch toGeneral>Exceptions.
On the right side, clickAdd Exception.
Now nudge the Browse button and pick the path for the Chrome Folder.
Once youve done this, tap the Add Exception button.
