The Chromebook is not just a internet tool, it could also be used to run Linux!
First of all, fire up the Developer Mode on your Chromebook.
There could be some physical buttons for entering into the developers mode for the older versions.

Now at the system recovery mode press the Ctrl + D and then agree on the prompt that appears.
This would boot your rig into the developers mode.
While entering the developer mode your Chromebooks local data would be erased.

This happens to remind you that you are using the Chromebook in developer mode.
After downloading the Crouton pressCtrl + Alt + Tin Chrome OS to open up the Cross terminal.
Now pop in in the command shell in the terminal and then press the Enter key.

To switch between the environments or the different OS press theCtrl+Alt+Shift+Backkeys andCtrl+Alt+Shift+Forward.
This was for the ARM Chromebook while for Intelx86/AMD64Chromebook press the Ctrl+Alt+Back and Ctrl+Alt+Forward plus Ctrl+Alt+Refresh.
To reset your Chromebook just block the Developers Mode and reboot your unit!
