They introduced a real-time Payment system to Indian users called UPI.
Compared to IMPS, UPI transactions were fast, free, and hassle-free.
Soon after implementing UPI, almost every Indian bank and third-party company introduced mobile payment apps.
For example, the popular payment app from Google Google Pay relies on UPI for transactions.
Also, you should note that this USSD service has charges based on your web link operator.
However,TRAI has set a maximum limit of Rs 0.50 per transaction.
Telecom Operators Supporting *99# Service.
Not all telecom operators in India support the UPI USSD service.
As of now, the service doesnt work for Jio.
3.Now, you will need to pick the means of transaction.
For example, I want to send money to a UPI ID.
So, I have chosen3.
Once done, tap on theSendbutton.
4.On the next screen, you will be asked to enter the UPI ID of the recipient.
Enter the ID and tap on the Send button.
5.Enter the amount you would like to transfer and tap on the Send button on the next screen.
6.Now, you will be asked to enter a remark.
Enter the remark and tap on the Send button.
7.Next, you will be asked toenter the UPI pin.
throw in in the PIN and tap on the Send button.
8.Now, you will see a confirmation screen indicating that the money has been sent successfully.
This is how it’s possible for you to send money via UPI without the internet.
For that, you better implement the steps below.
First of all, initiate the dialer and dial*99#.
Next, choose the number2to request money.
3.On the next screen,enter the amountyou would like to request.
4.it’s possible for you to even enter a remark if you prefer.
5.On the next screen, send1to confirm the payment request.
6.Now, you will see a confirmation message is stating you have successfully requested the money.
For that, you better implement some of the simple steps given below.
1.First of all, pop swing open the dialer and dial*99#.
2.On the Next screen, send3.
3.The next screen will show you the available account balance on your connected bank.
This is how you could check your account balance via USSD.
Manage Your UPI Profile
The USSD also has an option to manage your UPI Profile.
you better dial*99#and send4to pull up the Profile management section.
The Next screen will show you various profile management options.
you’ve got the option to change the UPI pin without connecting to the internet.
you better kick off the dialer and dial *99#.
From the list of options, type7and tap on theSendButton.
you gotta pick the option and enter few details to change the UPI Password.
How to Check Recent UPI Transactions
you could even check the recent transactions via this USSD service.
For that, you gotta bring up the dialer and dial *99#.
Then, punch in in6and tap on theSendbutton on the next screen.
The next screen will show you the recent transactions.
However,this will only show the UPI Transactions you have done via the USSD service.
