Cleanup Recommendations is a storage management feature that hides in Windows 11s Storage prefs page.
The feature basically automates the process of identifying the contents that were available to delete.
What is Cleanup Recommendation in Windows 11?
Cleanup Recommendation is a useful feature introduced by Windows 11 that automatically detects the safe file types to delete.
First of all, punch the Windows 11 Start button and selectSettings.
On the controls app, hit theSystemtab, as shown in the screenshot below.
On the Right pane, hit theStorageoption.
On the Storage, scroll down and choose theCleanup Recommendationsoption.
You need toexpand each categoryand clean up the files.
For example, if you want to clean large files, expand the Large or new files section.
Now, Windows 11 will show you the large files stored on your HDD/SSD.
it’s crucial that you choose the files you want to delete and punch theCleanupbutton.
Similarly, it’s possible for you to remove the apps you dont use.
For that,expand the Unused appssection, go for the apps and hit theClean upbutton.
If you wish to clean Temporary files, expand theTemporary filessection andselect the items you want to delete.
Once selected, select theCleanupbutton as shown below.
