What is Distraction Control in iOS 18?
The Distraction Control feature is part of the Safari web web app on iOS 18.
What I liked most about this feature is its manual selection you might choose which webpage elements to hide.
You candownload & install iOS 18 Public Beta 3by going throughSettings > General > Software Update.
Download & plant the pending iOS 18 Public Beta 3 update on your iPhone.
To use the new feature, launch theSafari web browseron your Apple iPhone.
Next, open your favorite website where you want to test the feature.
When the site opens, tap thePage menuon the Address bar.
The menu will appear before the URL on the Address bar.
On the options that appear, selectHide Distracting Items.
On the Hide Distraction items prompt, tapOK.
You will be asked to go for the items you wish to hide from the webpage.
It could be a text, pop-up, banner, ads, etc.
Once selected, tap on theHideto hide it.
Once hidden, tapDoneon the address bar.
If you wish to view the hidden items, tap thePage menuagain and selectShow Hidden Items.
The hidden items will be added to the webpage again.
If you still dont see them, refresh the page.
yo note that the Distraction Control is available on iOS 18 Beta 3 and above.
Since its a beta update feature, it has a few bugs.
Sometimes, the feature may not work as it should.
