What is Vocal Shortcuts on iPhone?
Vocal Shortcuts on iPhone is a part of iOS 18 Accessibility features.
In simple words, vocal shortcuts mean triggering actions based on voice inputs.
How do you set up vocal shortcuts on an iPhone?
The Vocal Shortcut is available on iOS 18 Developer and Public Beta.
Hence, its important to tune up your iPhone and then run with this.
To get started, launch theSettingsapp on your iPhone.
When the parameters app opens, tap onAccessibility.
On the Accessibility screen, tap onVocal Shortcuts.
On the next screen, tap onSet Up Vocal Shortcuts.
On the welcome screen, tap onContinue.
Now, you will have to choose an action.
You will find various actions on this screen.
Now, you will be asked to set a Custom Phrase to trigger the action.
Add a speakable phrase.
Now, you will be asked tospeak the phrase three times.
This is done to teach your iPhone to recognize your voice.
Once the Action is Ready, tap on theContinuebutton.
Now, whenever you want to capture a screenshot, speak the vocal shortcut youve created.
The action will be triggered automatically.
How to Delete Vocal Shortcuts?
If you dont want to use any specific Vocal Shortcut, you’re free to delete it easily.
Heres how you might delete Vocal Shortcuts on your iPhone.
Open theSettingsapp on your iPhone and tap onAccessibility.
On the Accessibility screen, tap onVocal Shortcuts.
On the Vocal Shortcuts screen, tapEditat the top left corner.
To delete a Vocal shortcut, tap the(-) iconbeside the vocal shortcut name.
How to Turn Off Vocal Shortcuts on iPhone?
If you dont want to use Vocal Shortcuts, go through this to turn off the feature altogether.
Launch theSettingsapp on your iPhone.
On the next screen,turn offthe Vocal Shortcuts switch.
