The goal of this feature is to read out the web pages for you.
The feature is great and used by many users to convert the text displayed on web pages into voice.

However, after the recent Edge update, the Read Aloud feature seems not to work for many.

There are several reasons why Read Aloud may not work on Microsoft Edge.

Remember, whether youve updated your Windows PC, added a new extension, etc.
To confirm this, you should probably check your devices volume level.
On the next screen, the web app will search for the available updates and implement the pending ones.

Launch theEdge browseron your PC.

When the Edge surfing app opens, choose thethree dotsat the top right and selectSettings.
On the options, click onReset options.
Next, select theRestore parameters to their default values.

On the Reset parameters confirmation prompt, clickReset.
- bring up the configs on your Windows 11 and navigate toApps > Installed Apps.
Find Microsoft Edge and press thethree dotsnext to it.

On the menu that appears, selectModify.
On the Repair Microsoft Edge prompt, clickRepair.
5. tune up your Windows 11
System-level bugs and glitches can also interfere with surfing app functionality.

To tune up your Windows 11, openSettings > Windows Update > Check for Updates.
The Windows Update tool will run and download all pending updates.
You may have to cycle your PC to complete the update process.
